I am a fish lover and i love to eat fish. I am very particular on how the fish should be prepared especially if the fish is very fresh, i would love to steam it. Nothing fanciful but just some slides of garlic, soya sauce, sesame oil and shao xing wine
Simple Steam fish
Ingredients
1 slice of fish ( this time i use seabass -debone, usually i use threadfin cos is my fav fish )
few slides of ginger
Seasoning
1 tablespoon of sesame oil
1 table spoon of shao xing wine
1-2 table spoon of light soya sauce ( i used the malaysia one. it gives some sweetness to the taste)
Steps
1. put the ginger on top of the fish
2. add in the seasoning
3. Steam for 10-15 mins depending on the size of the fish. Tip : do not overcook the fish else it will be very tough. so timing is the most important factor to this dish
4. Serve when hot
